Hello, Cricket

from Hello, Cricket by Listen & Learn Music

lyrics

Up comes the sun, a new day is here
And on the ground, a little egg did appear
From the egg, a cricket is born
On this beautiful morn

The cricket rubbed his wings together and found
That he could not make a sound

A locust whizzed hello
Spinning through the air

A praying mantis whizzed hello
Scraping his huge front legs

A worm crunched hello
Munching his way through an apple

A spittlebug bubbled hello
Slurping in a sea of froth

A cicada screeched hello
Clinging to the branch of a tree

A bumblebee hummed hello
Flying from flower to flower

A dragonfly whirred hello
Gliding above the water

The mosquitos buzzed hello
Dancing among the stars

The luna moth sailed quietly
Through the dark night sky

And then the cricket met another cricket standing here
He rubbed his wings, lo and behold, his chirp was loud and clear
The crickets rested and relaxed below the stars and moon
Enjoying each other’s company and the cricket’s chirping tune
